Frequently Asked Questions
Is Alpha-gal Alliance Action Fund a for-profit company?
Alpha-gal Alliance Action Fund is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. It does not make a profit.
Are the people who run Alpha-gal Alliance Action Fund paid?

Our Board members and other supporters cover our operating costs, so you can give knowing that 100% of your donations go directly to support our advocacy work.
Why aren’t my donations tax-deductible as a charitable contribution or business expense?
Donations are not deductible because Alpha-gal Alliance Action Fund is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization. Our sister organization, Alpha-gal Alliance, is a 501(c)(3) that can accept tax-deductible donations.
Why did you create Alpha-gal Alliance Action Fund as a 501(c)4 instead of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that can accept tax-deductible donations?
We created Alpha-gal Alliance Action Fund as a 501(c)(4) because 501(c)(3) are limited in terms of the amount of advocacy that they can engage in. We want to focus exclusively on advocating for policy changes that will benefit people with AGS.
